Punjab Ex-Servicemen Corporation (PESCO) is an organization established by the Punjab Government in 1978 to support and assist ex-servicemen, war widows, disabled service personnel, and their dependents. It operates under the Punjab Act No. 33 of 1978, which was approved by the President of India. Every year, around 14,000 ex-servicemen retire from their military service at a relatively young age, usually between 35 to 45 years old, and settle in their home districts within Punjab. These individuals are highly trained, skilled, disciplined, active, dedicated, and committed workers who still have many years of working life ahead of them.During their service, these ex-servicemen have imbibed values such as courage, loyalty, integrity, motivation, and reliability. PESCO aims to utilize their vast experience and qualities by assisting them in finding employment opportunities near their homes. They can provide state-of-the-art services to various government institutions in Punjab as well as corporate sectors.
