ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR PATNA HIGH COURT DISTRICT JUDGE RECRUITMENT 2023
Candidates must be eligible Advocates to apply for District Judge (Entry Level), directly from the Bar Exam-2023.
Any applicant who has not completed 7 years of practice on the last date of receipt of the Application as specified in the advertisement and who does not give the declaration of appearance in at least 24 cases per year in the last 3 years, shall not be eligible for consideration for such appointment. The candidates qualifying in the Written Test shall be required to give declaration of appearance in at least 24 cases per year in the last 3 years preceding the year of advertisement which is 2022-23.
Note: Prosecuting officers/ Assistant Prosecuting officers are treated as advocates and are eligible as per the judgement of the Hon'ble Supreme Court passed in Civil Appeal No. 561 of 2013- Deepak Agarwal Ys. Keshav Kaushik & others.
