The National Ayush Mission (NAM) is a government initiative in India aimed at promoting and developing traditional systems of medicine like Ayurveda, Yoga, Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, and Homoeopathy. The main objectives of NAM are to provide cost-effective and accessible healthcare services through these traditional systems, strengthen education and research in these fields, increase the availability of medicinal plants used in these systems, and promote the use of traditional medicine in public health. Under the scheme, individual states in India can implement various programs related to traditional medicine and receive financial assistance from the central government to support these initiatives.
