EMRS stands for Eklavya Model Residential Schools. These schools are created and supported by the Indian government through the Ministry of Tribal Affairs. They are special schools designed to give good education to students from tribal communities in India. The goal is to help these students improve their learning and do well in their studies. The schools are usually boarding schools, meaning the students live and stay at the school campus, and they provide education starting from the early grades (like primary school) up to the higher grades (like high school).

Maximum Age limit for Candidates: 35 years

For OBC(NCL) Candidate: 5 years
For SC/ST Candidates: 3 years
For Candidates with 3 years continuous service in Central Govt. provided the posts are in the same or allied cadres: 5 years
For Persons ordinarily domiciled in the UT of Jammu & Kashmir from 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989: 5 years
For Women (All Category) only if applying for TGT posts: 10 years
For PWD (including women) SC/ST Candidates: 15 years
For PWD (including women) OBC Candidates: 13 years
For PWD (including women) General Candidates: 10 years
For other than permanent employees working in EMRS as on 01/01/2023 and working till date: 55 years
